We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpet Fitter to join our team. As a Carpet Fitter, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing carpet in residential and commercial settings. You will work closely with clients to ensure satisfactory results, providing expert advice on carpet selection and installation techniques. Key Responsibilities:

• Measure and assess areas to be carpeted to determine the correct quantities and types of carpet needed.
• Cut carpet materials accurately to fit designated areas, including corners, edges, and patterns.
• Install carpet using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring a professional finish.
• Prepare subfloors for carpet installation by repairing or leveling surfaces when necessary.
• Remove old carpet and dispose of it responsibly when replacing existing flooring.
• Ensure the carpet is properly stretched and secured to prevent wrinkling or shifting over time.
• Provide clients with advice on carpet maintenance and care to prolong the life of the product.
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Adhere to safety standards and guidelines while on the job site.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Carpet Fitter or in a related flooring installation role.
• Strong knowledge of different types of carpet and flooring materials.
• Proficiency in using cutting tools and installation equipment safely and effectively.
• Excellent measuring and mathematical skills.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy materials.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality work.
